For many years I had a career in satellite communications, helping people in the remotest parts of the world connect to their loved ones.
Building on my lifelong love of history, now I reach into the past to connect people with family members by rediscovering their lost stories.
Professional qualifications and memberships
In 2025 Jananne was awarded the Diploma in Genealogy (with Distinction) by the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies, having previously completed the Higher Certificate in Genealogy.
She is a member of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA), the professional organisation promoting high professional standards in the field of genealogy and historical research in England and Wales, and abides by their Code of Practice and Ethics.
Jananne is a member of the Society of Genealogists and the Register of Qualified Genealogists (RQG).
She also has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett).
